Lilypie Third Birthday tickers

Moving forward

It's like the light switch was turned on the moment I turned six months old because I have figured out to work my arms, legs, and the crowd around to get exactly what I used to think was out of my reach. I've decided that my back is really not happening and that everything worth seeing and doing is from either being positioned my belly or standing up--I even think sleeping is much better on my belly (I think Mama does too, because I certainly don't stir in the night when I have rolled over).

It took a day or two, but I figured out the forward motion thing. Pretty cool actually, but I think I would be much better off if my walker was in a gymnasium instead of the kitchen. So many obstacles in which to get tripped up.

I love to laugh and it doesn't take much to get me going--a silly noise, a repeated sound, hands coming toward as if to tickle. All pretty funny to me....

Because of me...

Because of me, Mom celebrated (very happily) her first Mother's Day and is able to post these words. Happy Mother's Day Mama!

Before I was a Mom, I had never been puked on, pooped on, chewed on, peed on. I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts and I slept all night.

Before I was a Mom, I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin. I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep. I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down. I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much. I never knew that I could love someone so much.

Before I was a Mom, I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby. I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child. I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy. I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
