Signs of fall, part 2

Apples, yet another visible sign that fall is near. Mamama bought a bag of Cortland apples to take to Grandma, they were neatly sitting on the counter in one of those plastic bags you get in the produce section of the grocery. When no one was looking I took the bag and began to eat an apple (yes, through the plastic). I only damaged one apple, and needless to say, was given it to finish. Yum!

Peeeete C'mere

Calling Peeete. Followed by the command, C'mere probably doesn't mean good things are in store for my sweet, patient, and willing to put up with just about anything dog Pete. Tonight I wanted to share my bead necklaces with Pete, plus I wanted him to come sit in "his" bucket with me. He did both. I'm pretty sure Mama rewarded him in some special way.

Pete Chase

Whether its around the sofa or around the yard, Pete loves to be chased.

Reading to Behbe

Story time. Most of the time I do the listening, but on some occasions I do the showing and viewing of pages. When it became obvious that Behbe couldn't see what I was showing, I gently twisted her neck so the angle would be perfect. Video: push play to begin (Book: One Duck Stuck, Phyllis Root)

Signs of fall, part one

When the weather doesn't give you a clue that the seasons are about to change (did I say we still have weather close to ninety degrees) you have to get your hints from the things around you. The pumpkin that sits by the back door makes me so Hap (my version of happy).

Fall break

Fall break has felt a lot like summer break as weather continues to be very warm and sunny, although no one is complaining as it made a perfect afternoon to go to the zoo with my cousins.

Apron

What the proper attire will do for a chef. My new apron really comes in handy as I create tasty treats in my kitchen.

Chores in heels

If June Cleaver could do it her housework in a dress and heels, I'm certainly up for the task. Courtesy of my cousins, I borrowed some "heels" to vacuum with my popcorn maker. One to always multitask when it comes to household chores, Behbe was along for the ride. To note, walking in heels takes its toll and a nice long nap did plenty to restore my energy.

Checking out the diaper

Lest you think I've regressed, the diaper checks are for Behbe. Not sure if Mama would advise using the methods I use, but I'm all about Behbe having a clean bottom.
