Today we celebrated Daddy’s birthday. I didn't get to enjoy the cake, but feel certain that soon I will be able to put some in my mouth. Speaking of my mouth, I really love it. Actually I love other people’s mouths too and really like to grab chins. I make great drool that turns into noisy spit, especially when I get excited. I've put a new food in my mouth, apricots. I found them tasty and was also reintroduced to squash (sweetened with some apple sauce as Mama is tricky)—this time with much happier results.
This week I am very in tune with when my Mama leaves the room—sometimes I am not very happy when she does. I stick my lip out and if she doesn't come back quickly enough I will let everyone know with one of my rare cries.

I continue to be very playful--things that can go into my mouth are great. Also, I have become curious about my dog Pete, trying to figure out how best to pet him. Pete has been pretty receptive to my arms as they swat his way. I’m now rolling all over the crib and when I am really content I clasp my pretty hands.

My hands at work. You will see me suck them, clasp them, and then spit my drool in excitement.
