Daze, my new verb (Webster: to astonish, surprise, amaze). I stand, sit, and lay in constant astonishment, surprise and wonder about everything. I am surprised (the happy kind) every time I hear the door open. I’m astonished by the love and licks of my dog Pete, but most of all I wonder what great things today will hold.
I’m sitting in the “staging” area (okay, it’s my crib) as I am all dressed and ready to face the day. Mama puts me here for a few brief minutes each morning as she gathers the rest of the things I will need for the day before we head out of my room and house. I can’t wait to be amazed at what today holds for me.
